Pointed chisels are suitable for a variety of chiselling tasks, including breaking up concrete or asphalt, masonry, bricks, solid or loose rock and mixed substrates.

The pointed shape concentrates the impact force of the pneumatic hammer on a very small area: the chisel tip. This allows force to be applied precisely and controlled as required. Pointed chisels can therefore be used for both rough and fine work, such as chiselling anchor holes, cable chases and installation openings in concrete where rotary drills or hammer drills may be unsuitable or unable to cope.
