Pneumatic hammers for a variety of uses
The first picks were used to mine ores and minerals and were also called “boxers” due to the characteristic movement of the tool when working horizontally. To date, picks and demolition hammers are used underground, but now, the majority of the devices are used to for tearing down buildings, demolitions, dismantling and renovating as well as in structural tests.
Pneumatic hammers for construction can be used in a variety of ways. Heavy, manually-operated picks and demolition hammers are primarily intended for vertical use. Tie tampers are used to pack the rail bed. Light pneumatic hammers such as the small demolition hammer are also suitable for horizontal use, for instance when opening walls, tearing open walls and erosions.
