Privacy
Cookies and consent
We use technically essential cookies to operate the shop securely. They support the cart, sign-in, language selection and storage of your cookie choice. Access to your device is necessary to provide the requested service; subsequent processing is based, depending on the function, on Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Google Analytics and Google Ads are activated only with your voluntary consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Statistics and marketing can be selected separately. Your choice is stored for six months. You can change or withdraw it at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps mapping service through an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To use Google Maps functions, your IP address must be stored. This information is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. The operator of this website has no influence over this transfer.
Google Maps is used in the interest of presenting our online services attractively and making the locations shown on our website easy to find. This constitutes a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Further information on the handling of user data is available in Google's privacy policy.
Confidentiality and security
We treat your data confidentially and protect it in accordance with our usual procedures and all applicable laws.
Your rights
You have the right:
- Under Article 15 GDPR, to request information about the personal data we process about you. In particular, you may request information about the purposes of processing, categories of personal data, categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the intended storage period, rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data where it was not collected from you, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, where applicable, meaningful information about its details;
- Under Article 16 GDPR, to request that inaccurate personal data we hold about you be corrected or incomplete data be completed without undue delay;
- Under Article 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of personal data we hold about you, unless processing is necessary to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, comply with a legal obligation, serve the public interest, or establish, exercise or defend legal claims;
- Under Article 18 GDPR, to request restriction of processing where you contest the accuracy of the data, processing is unlawful but you oppose erasure, we no longer need the data but you require it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or you have objected to processing under Article 21 GDPR;
- Under Article 20 GDPR, to receive personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request its transmission to another controller;
- Under Article 7(3) GDPR, to withdraw consent you have given us at any time. This means that we may no longer continue processing based on that consent in the future; and
- Under Article 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You may generally contact the authority for your usual place of residence or work, or for the location of our office.
Your right to object
Where your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to processing on grounds relating to your particular situation, or where your objection concerns direct marketing. In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without requiring you to specify a particular situation.
To exercise your right to withdraw consent or object, simply send an email to info@froelich-kluepfel.de.
Data security
During visits to our website, we use the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser, generally 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can identify encrypted transmission of an individual page by the closed key or padlock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction and unauthorised access by third parties. We continually improve these measures in line with technological developments.
Validity and changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy is currently valid and is dated May 2018.
Further development of our website and services, or changes to statutory or regulatory requirements, may make it necessary to amend this privacy policy. The current privacy policy can be accessed and printed from the website at any time.

Collection and processing of personal data
a) When visiting the website
When you access our website, the browser on your device automatically sends information to our website's server. This information is temporarily stored in a log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer;
- Date and time of access;
- Name and URL of the requested file;
- Website from which access originated (referrer URL);
- Browser used and, where applicable, your computer's operating system and the name of your access provider.
We process this data for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection to the website;
- Ensuring convenient use of our website;
- Assessing system security and stability; and
- Other administrative purposes.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the data collection purposes listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected to draw conclusions about your identity.
The data is collected anonymously and cannot technically be assigned to specific individuals. It is not combined with data from other sources. The data is also deleted after statistical evaluation and is not retained as individual records.
Whenever our websites are accessed or a file is retrieved, static IP addresses are also recorded and automatically stored in a server log file. In some circumstances, static IP addresses may allow a user's identity to be inferred. We neither carry out such evaluations nor use this data for our own advertising purposes or make it available to third parties for use.
b) When subscribing to our newsletter
If you have expressly consented under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, we use your email address to send you our newsletter regularly. An email address is sufficient to receive the newsletter.
You may unsubscribe at any time, for example using the link at the end of each newsletter.
c) Other data collection and contact
Otherwise, you can generally visit our websites without providing personal information. You may, however, choose to provide information by completing forms in various areas of our website, such as:
- Contact/enquiry
When you contact us, for example via a contact form or email, personal data is collected. The relevant contact form shows which data is collected. This data is stored and used solely to respond to your request or contact you, and for the associated technical administration. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact is intended to lead to a contract, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR provides an additional legal basis. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully processed, provided the circumstances indicate that the matter has been conclusively resolved and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.
Disclosure of data
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We disclose your personal data to third parties only where:
- You have given express consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR;
- Disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding legitimate interest in non-disclosure;
- A legal obligation to disclose exists under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR; or
- Disclosure is legally permissible and necessary for the performance of contractual relationships with you under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Retention
Your data is retained and stored for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was lawfully collected, or for as long as retention is required by statutory or other legal obligations.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
After you give consent, we use Google Analytics to measure website usage and Google Ads to measure advertisements and enquiries and, if selected, to personalise advertising. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Through Google Consent Mode we pass the signals analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization. Until you make a choice, these signals are set to “denied”. Google does not set analytics or advertising cookies for these services in this state, but may process technical cookieless measurement signals. After consent, processing may include pseudonymous identifiers, pages viewed, device and browser data, approximate location, advertising interactions and conversion data.
Processing by Google LLC in the United States cannot be ruled out. Information about processing, retention and transfer safeguards is available in Google's Privacy Policy and its cookie information.
Your consent is voluntary. You can disable Google Analytics and Google Ads separately at any time through “Cookie settings”.
