Hammer and rotate
Hammering units break the core. At the same time, the fixture rotates the casting by up to 270° so broken sand can leave its cavities.
PERCUSSION AND ROTATION
The turning decoring station is used when hammering alone cannot sufficiently empty a casting. F+K hammering units break the sand core and set the casting in vibration. At the same time, the fixture can rotate the casting by up to 270° so that loose core sand can escape from the cavities. This method is suitable for decoring tasks where rotation is sufficient and no additional vibration treatment is required.

Hammering units break the core. At the same time, the fixture rotates the casting by up to 270° so broken sand can leave its cavities.
This method is suitable when turning assists sand discharge and no additional vibration is required. Fixture and motion are tailored to the casting.
Manual, robot, rotary-table and through-feed loading are possible. The examples below show robot loading and a pallet circulation system.
SYSTEM EXAMPLE / KAMLIT
The system built for Kamlit in 2024 illustrates a configuration we can still offer today: truck engine blocks and cylinder heads in one system, four adaptable loading and unloading positions and pallet circulation. We tailor the design to your range of castings and production flow.

The Scania and Kamlit systems feature a new hammer control system. Hammer frequency and clamping pressure can be adjusted during operation to match the decoring process to each casting and improve results.
SYSTEM EXAMPLE / SCANIA
Installed in Södertälje, Sweden, in 2021, this system decores the truck engine blocks and cylinder heads produced at the plant. Loading and model changeover are designed for fully automatic operation. The project illustrates another way to integrate rotary decoring into production.
