Targeted core breaking
The hammering unit breaks the sand core in a secured casting. Sand drops out below the station.
MANUAL LOADING
The Corebreaker 605 decores varying castings using a stationary F+K hammering unit. This compact, openly accessible machine is suitable for small batches, including pilot runs, with manual or crane loading.

The hammering unit breaks the sand core in a secured casting. Sand drops out below the station.
The core breaker is especially useful for smaller batches and changing castings when rotation or vibration is unnecessary.
The casting is positioned in its fixture and the cycle starts via two-hand control. The process and equipment are described below.
Kernbrecher 605
The casting is held between the hammering unit and the counterholder. Impacts transmitted into the component break up the sand core. Released sand and core fragments fall down through the casting openings. The open design provides easy access to the working area.

Decoring technology in action

The casting is brought into the working area manually or by crane. The holding arrangement is adapted to the geometry and suitable contact points of the component.
The proven F+K hammering unit performs the decoring operation. The workpiece is held between the tool and the counterholder while the transmitted impacts break up the sand core.
Released sand falls down out of the casting. The component is then unloaded. The appropriate configuration is selected for the casting and the decoring task.
Decoring down to pilot runs without changing tools, depending on component geometry and suitable contact points.
The machine performs the hammering instead of manual decoring. This relieves operators of vibration exposure from a handheld decoring tool and can substantially reduce decoring times.
The machine is equipped with safety two-hand control. The exact equipment is adapted to the application.
The open construction is suitable for crane loading and facilitates changes between different castings.
The hammering unit offers up to 300 mm stroke depending on configuration. The illustrated version has a KE605 with a 200 mm stroke.
A sound-insulated configuration is available as an option. The illustration shows the open machine.
Geometry, dimensions, weight, core structure and required quantities determine the configuration. Together we assess suitable contact points, loading, stroke and optional sound insulation.
